Hey Hackers!
AI. This topic has been talked about to death, but there’s a reason for that. It has changed the world immensely. Every day, millions upon millions use it for a variety of different things, including for content writing. The problem is that it’s very easy to spot an AI-generated article. They all read the same, have the same feel, etc. Once you’ve read a couple, you won’t stop noticing the similarities.
But it doesn’t have to be this way. If you want AI to do all the work and completely write the article for you, that article will just be one of the many soulless ones that get lost in the vastness of the internet. However, if you instead collaborate with AI and go back and forth, you will be able to create something that has heart and a personal touch. Here are 3 tips on how to do exactly that.
1. Don’t Just Accept the First Draft
It’s very easy to give AI a simple prompt, watch it spit out an article, and just copy-and-paste it to your blog. Grammatically, everything might be correct, but it will sound too stiff and robotic. It will also be extremely generic. AI won’t get it right the first time; that’s why it’s important that you spend time refining it and making it better. Continue giving it prompts to improve it, or go in personally and give it some life. Ideally, you should do both.
More importantly, you should ask yourself this: What matters most to you? That you create an article in 3 minutes? Or that you create an article worth reading?
2. Be Detailed With Your Prompts
If you give your AI chatbot a generic prompt, it will give you a generic answer. It all starts with your prompts; they should be detailed and specific. An example of a bad prompt would be something along the lines of, “Write me an article about the advancements in AI technology.” That is too broad. The article that you will receive will be shallow and barebones.
Instead, zero in on something more specific.
❌ Bad prompt: Write a paragraph on advancements in AI technology
Artificial intelligence has advanced rapidly in recent years, driven by improvements in data, computing power, and model design. Technologies like generative AI can now create text, images, and code, while enhanced language processing allows systems to better understand and respond to human input. AI is transforming industries such as healthcare and automation, helping with tasks like diagnosis, drug discovery, and robotics. Despite these benefits, challenges around bias, privacy, and job disruption continue to raise concerns as AI becomes more integrated into everyday life.
✅ Better prompt: In a casual tone, write me a paragraph about the advancements of AI in content writing with a specific focus on personal blogs.
AI has completely changed the way people run personal blogs, making it easier than ever to create and publish content. Tools can now help brainstorm ideas, draft posts, rewrite rough sections, and even match your usual tone so everything still feels like “you.” What used to take hours—like editing, formatting, or coming up with headlines—can now be done in minutes. For smaller bloggers especially, this levels the playing field and helps keep sites active without burning out. That said, it also raises questions about originality and whether blogs lose some personality when too much is automated.
The more specific, the better.
3. Remember to Fact Check
AI can get a lot of things right; however, it can also do the exact opposite. Once you ask it about a topic that you are well-versed in, you will see that there’s plenty it can get wrong. Make sure to review everything and to not blindly trust it.
If you’re also taking sources from AI to put them in your article, double-check them. Sometimes, the linked source will get the topic correct, but the information wrong. Other times, the linked source will be completely off the mark.
Another problem is when the AI model version that you are using is outdated. If you’re asking about a topic that happened last month, and its knowledge only goes up to last year, all your information will be wrong. When writing an article about recent events, first ask it how up-to-date its knowledge is.
Fact checking won’t be quick or easy, but it’s better to take your time and review than to post something that is factually incorrect and be accused of not doing your due diligence.
